Mellow Mushroom, 5,869 square feet, is an eclectic, family-friendly restaurant that serves up fresh, stone-baked pizzas to order, hoagies, munchies and a variety of craft beers. This is the first location in Rockville, joining two other locations in the D.C. metro area. The Rockville location will be customized with artwork, décor and design styles to inspire the neighborhood, while reflecting the original mission of Mellow Mushroom: to serve a deliciously unparalleled pizza and cold craft beer in an unforgettable environment. It will be located on the Plaza.
Finnegan's Wake Irish Pub
Finnegan’s Wake Irish Pub, 2,411 square feet, will feature traditional Irish cuisine. Owners Terry and Vanessa Laurin are a local husband-and-wife team, who will launch their first family owned and operated establishment with an emphasis on warmth and comfort when the restaurant opens in Winter 2016. Finnegan’s is expected to start construction May 23rd at 100-F Gibbs Street.
Miso Café, 2,265 square feet, will feature Korean fusion cuisine. This is the second location from the owners of Miso Café in Annandale, VA. The new full-service restaurant is expected to open in Winter 2016, and will be located at 33-E Maryland Avenue.
Samovar, 3,353 square feet, will specialize in primarily Russian cuisine, with Eastern European and Central Asian influence. This is owners’, Solijon Nasimov and Ika Nasimova, first DC-area restaurant. The father-daughter team has over 25 years of experience in the industry, with restaurants in New York, Colorado, and their home country of Tajikistan; they are also the caterer for the Russian Trade and Cultural Missions and Tajikistan Embassy in Washington, DC. Their new concept restaurant will feature live music on the weekends, and is expected to open at Rockville Town Square in Winter 2016 at 201 N. Washington Street.
